Young guns with Aamir !
By Saurabh Rathore

Sometimes countless numbers do not provide justification as few figures do. star's value is credited by the quantity of films he does in a year with the hits achieved. What if the, a star plays, beyond the number game and achieves the zenith while treading on a path of perfect filmmaking. As I have used the word "perfect" it would be quite easy to figure out the person in frame- Aamir khan. Aamir Khan has proved it right in recent years that it takes lot of gumption reaching glory with amateur drivers. These years industry has seen a lot of impending actors but behind the camera if we look, there is a crop of directors also being growing simultaneously. But sometimes directors have to compromise with their portrayal of story as they are not able to fill in the pockets of superstars. But what if directors get stars like Amitabh, Hrithik, Shahrukh and Aamir to work in their films, they are bound to succeed. But this had not been the case when it comes to other against Aamir. An analysis shows that new directors have been more successsful with Aamir than equally talented and successful superstars. It has been a true win-win situation for Aamir. If things have not yet sorted out in your minds, let's begin with the analysis.
Ashutosh Gowarikar came with handful of flops signing Aamir in Lagaan and the rest is history- after a long time Indian movie got an Oscar nomination. After this prideful achievement, he comes back with ' Swades', with King Khan; the film got a run for hitting gold at the box-office. Ashutosh wouldn't have understood the reason the failure till now. John Mattew Matthan brought a relavant idea of that time when terrorism intruded in so much even maligning the administration of country in which Aamir Khan proved himself as stalwart to fight against the menacing crime. John had anticipated similar success with his second film much awaited Shikhar. But it didn't bring the laurels with the brilliance of Ajay Devgan supported by latest youth sensation Shahid Kapur.
Aks too fell in the same collapse giving no consideration to the fact that it was being starred by great Amitabh Bachchan. Rakeysh Mehra, director of the movie tried to console himself by saying that it is a new spice to India and people will take time connecting in to such idea. May be earlier failure provided him the requisite determination to make a masterpiece like Rang De Basanti. This new ideates also used Aamir Khan as a tool to bring the audiences to the theatre. But people didn't just see the film, they came out awakened senses and flushing out the deepest grudges against the ruthless and inefficient government.
Farhaan Akhthar too had a graet responsibility on his shoulders being son of Javed Akhthar who had been one from the successful scriptwriters. Who better person than Aamir would Farhaan have for portraying the character of Aaakash in Dil Chahta Hai. The character of Aakash easily ethhed into the viewers mind and lasted for long; serving the purpose of making the movie a hit. But with very next movie of Farhaan, Lakshya with latest superstar on the block Hrithik Roshan, did failed to disseminate the idea to the misguided youth of the country.
What if these movies didn't have Aamir Khan? It would be incorrect to come to a decision that these would have been flopped. The films are even beyond the viewer's mind to think upon. Scriptwriting playes pivotal role as it's a backbone to any film. Initially, the script makes stars to sign the film then afterwards provides the necessary flow to the story of the film. But audience has the power of even discarding off the well scripted film. If they don't find any connection with the subject and characters they will wipe out the film immediately. Very important thing for them is to find relevance whether movie is according to set theories or defying the regular routine. Even the most routine story would bring in appreciation of people if executed correctly. Luck could be given a point in this game of winning and losing. Something works on intangible forces. Even the smallest push of talent by actors and crew can make the difference and difference in no small inches but in non-measuring heights as in Aamir's film.
